The basis of discounted price tag is on all round trip tickets purchased through US travel agencies. The travel period is from June to August this year from any airport in New York City to any airport in Paris.

Primera Air operated flights from more than 70 airports in Europe only before. This new transatlantic route will kick start the succeeding two more from three European hubs by the end of summer 2017.

With the addition of the US schedule, Primera Air aims to compete with other well-known budget airlines. To date, WOW and Norwegian are among the top -listed in the airlines which provide low-cost flying options.

The Scandinavian budget airline will fly with Airbus A321neos across the Atlantic. Domestic flights were the original purpose of these planes, but more and more carriers have expressed interest in flying single-aisle aircraft.

Although The Airbus A321neos are relatively small, it can seat 185 people, and offer both economy and premium cabins.

Just like its competitors, the offer comes with some fine print. Just like other budget airlines, travelers on Primera Air will expect to pay fees.

There are added fees on luggage check, and another fee if a passenger selects a seat in advance. In-flight food is cheap, neither. Individual meals start at $40 and can go up to $70.

The big catch is: the flights are one way. That means that travelers need to pay to fly back to Boston.
