Ordering food on Facebook is indeed a new thing. Before, food-goers who want to order food have to look for the Facebook page of their favorite resto and call them up. The latest feature will allow people to directly place orders for delivery or take away without leaving the social media website.

The feature is currently available in the USA. To use it, the user can click on the Explore menu and visit the Order Food section. It will show nearby restaurants and then browse food options. Once the user has selected a specific course, then click on the Start Order. The restaurant will then confirm whether the food-goer want it for takeout or delivery.

The social media giant has been testing the newest feature since last year. Thus, the function is now successfully live throughout the USA. Facebook is rolling out the new Order Food feature in iOS, Android, and desktop.

Facebook already signed contracts with various food ordering services partners. These partners are the EatStreet,, DoorDash, Olo, ChowNow, etc. Also, to make the ordering food possible, Facebook enlisted the help of Jack in the Box, Papa John’s, Five Guys, Panera, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, etc.

The users will experience full features and accessibility as the Order Foodservice brings together national chains and local restaurants. Furthermore, users who explore their favorite restaurants may also be up for discoveries or visiting nearby local food shops!

Facebook is bent on making users have the full experience while inside the app. Looking it in a businessman’s perspective, this move and the previous actions of Facebook is to ensure more bucks in the form of ads on their platform.

The Order Food feature is currently available in the entirety of USA. However, in the following months, Canada and UK are the next best options for expansion.
